Hi, we're a group of 5 planning to visit the wall on 29th Nov. Pl advise:1) what is the travelling time by car to the above-mentioned sections?2) are there cable cars in both sections?3) Possible to visit The Ming Tombs after visiting the walls on the same day?4) What's è travelling time by car from Ming Tombs back to BJ?Your assistance will be much appreciated.Regards, SphSingapore

Sim, it takes around 1 to 1.5 hours to reach BDL, 2 to 2.5 hours to reach Mutianyu. Cable car is available at both sections. If you plan to visit Ming Tombs, I suggest you visit BDL. It's ok for you to visit these two places in a day. If you are lucky and don't meet the traffic jam, you should be able to get back within 1.5 hours.

Hi Kris, much thanks for yr prompt reply! Can u advise of we can hire yr car (with local driver) & fit in some other places (if time permits)? Please also advise cost for the same. Would yr driver be able to start earlier (say 7am?) Or there's a fixed starting time? How much will it cost if we hire yr car from 7am~6pm?Tks.Sph

Sim, I think you can only go to BDL and Ming tombs in one day. There isn't enough time for you to visit other places. Actually, you can choose to hire a taxi to finish your trip.
