american citizen 10 year visa to china

Question

Hello, I wonder as an American citizen living in Egypt, can I apply for a 10 year tourist L type to PRC. My wife is Chinese. Also, do I need to prepare any documents to prove my legal status in Egypt in order to apply for PRC entry permit in Egypt (I have Egyptian working permit).Do I just go to PRC Embassy in Zamalek to apply? Can someone hand in my application for me or I have to go in person?

Andres, since you have got a work permit in Egypt and you have a wife of PRC citizenship, I do think you can apply from there for the 10-year multiple-entry L type.You can just go to the embassy to submit the application. Appointment is not required. If you have no time to go there, you can ask someone else to do the applicaiton for you.
