AE Travel Pass 2 Journey for HK$300 vs On-loan Octopus

Hi. My arrival to HK is Sun 22 Nov. Plan take MTR to Yau Ma Tei (Hotel near there). Tour HK & 1-day trip to Macau & back to airport on Thu 26 Nov about 11 am.

So, it be cost-effective to buy this AE TP 2journey - where is actually HK$250 (since refundable HK$50) as it include the travel from airport to Yau Ma Tei (on Sun) & Yau Ma Tei to airport (On Thu) + unlimited MTR rides (except for few as stated) from Sun 12 noon till Wed 12 noon (assuming i start using on Sun 12 noon). Since i be using MTR rides extensive to around areas like peak, central, mongkok, etc. Am i right?

However, I may need to reload after Wed 12 noon to cover a few rides until my final ride to airport. Question: Do i get the refund for those reload not utilised when i return the card at the airport.

Pls advise.

Yes, Airport travel pass is an economical choice, and you can reload it, so it will function like a normal octopus card, which can be used on MTR, bus and ferries. Since you reload the pass, you can get your balance back. Don’t worry.
