Chinese visa for a Canadian citizen who is traveling in europe

I am currently visiting France where I don't need an entry permit. I have an opportunity to go to Shanghai for a week. I have a return ticket from France to canada and a 2 way ticket from Paris to Shanghai. Is it possible for me to get a 90 day entry permit in Paris? Thanks.

Premica, if you don't have a residence permit in France, it's hard to say whether you can apply successfully from there and the chance to get a 90 day entry permit is not big. Anyway, if you have already purchased the tickets, you can have a try at the CVASC office in Paris. The tickets you mentioned are OK as the proof of transportation.
