About:Shanghai Metro Line 2

how do i get from pudong to hongqiao airport?

(the most efficient way, since i'm traveling alone so i think taxi will be too expensive)

Well, you are suggested to take Maglev Train at the airport, and get off at Longyang Road Station. It only takes around 8 mins on the way. The ticket fare is CNY 50 per person. Then transfer to subway line 2 to East Nanjing Road and subway line 10 to Hongqiao Airport. The travel time is about 50 mins. It costs CNY 5 per person.

Beside the metros, you can also take airport shuttle bus line 1 to get to Hongqiao Airport directly.
In usual time, the duration is about an hour. The ticket fare is CNY 30 per person.
If it's peak time, you are suggested to take subway because it was influenced less by group transportation.
