About:Hong Kong Visa Application

wanting hk residence card or visa

I am a u.s citizen and was wanting to move to Hong kong, but without an entry permit or permanent residence card I would not be able to obtain a job, is there any hope? I know I would have to live in hk for 7 consecutive years before I can get an ID card, but would need a job to do so. What are my options???

Mishi, you can only find a job there first and get a work permit from there. Only after that it's likely to get a residence card in HK.

Well, then you can apply for a family dependant type entry permit and your mother can be your sponsor and submit the application for you.
