Well, you are suggested to stay nearby the airport and start off in the next early morning. But you don't have to take the ferry. You can take direct long-distance bus at the airport and arrive at Zhuhai. The bus schedules are 09:10, 13:10, 14:10, 14:55, 17:10, 18:55 and 19:50. It costs 234 HKD per person. And the travel time is about 4 hours. In middle night, I'm afraid there is no transportation available for your route.
