Flight to Shanghai

Hello,

I am flying to Shanghai (with a layover built into the flight in HK) from Taipei, and then flying to Hong Kong to stay for a day, and eventually going to Taipei.

Is that OK?

Thanks

To clarify I will not be getting off the airplane with the first layover through HK

So your route goes like this: Taipei-Hong Kong-Shanghai-Hong Kong-Taipei? If so, I'm afraid the route is not ok.

Yes that is my flight. The first Hong Kong leg I do not leave the airport or should go through immigration. Does that still count as using HK as a country?

Yes, it still counts as the first country or region.
