About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I am flying into Beijing from Chicago and have a return flight to Chicago 48 hours later

What do I need to do and what documents would I need ? I have a USA Passport and return ticket to Chicago.I contacted American Air and nobody was familiar with a 72 hour Visa. Do I need to do anything before I leave or take care of Documents upon arrival in Beijing?

Lou, you are flying from Chicago into Beijing and then back to Chicago directly after 48 hours? If so, I'm afraid this rotue is not eligible for the 72-hour free transit policy and you need to apply for an entry permit in advance.
