TRAIN to HKG and back from CAN

I fly into CAN (guangzhou) and want to take train to HKG after staying in CAN 2 days. then return by train from HKG back to CAN to leave for SFO. Will I need a visa in PRC bc im taking train out 2 days later instead of flight?

Hi Rib, you need to apply for it because you don't take a flight. On your trip back to Canton from HK, if the layover is not more than 24 hours, you just need to apply for a single-entry permit. If the layover is more than 24 hours, you need to apply for a double-entry type.
