About:Taiyuan Travel

We will be travelling to taiyuan on 1st week of Nov, how is the weather? is it cold?

Our stay is only full 4 days and intend to visit Mount wutaishan or pingyao if time permit.

As I found out that travelling by bus in the city is not feasible as we intend to visit the Chongsan temple, twin pagoda and the jinci temple within 1 day. Is it better to hire a van or travelling by taxi to these places? What is the estimate
cost of hiring a van for 1 day and how to hire a van?
We intend to visit the Mengshan and please advise how to reach this location from my hotel in Fudong street.

1. Although it will be sunny and cloudy, it can be cold. According to the latest weather forecast, the temp will range from 5C to 18C. I suggest you prepare a sweater, long john, jacket and jeans.
2. Of course it is more convenient to hire a taxi for sightseeing. It costs CNY200 a day. Just flag down a taxi on the street and negotiate with the driver. If you don't speak Chinese, turn to your hotel for help.
3. It is around 30km away from Fudong Street, and transfer is needed by city bus. I suggest you rent a taxi or car for a round trip. It costs CNY80-100.
