guangzhou subway pass card deposit

Hi there
I asked the clerk to get a subway card pass since i was staying over for two weeks. I gave him 70 RMB but he only charged my card with 50 RMB. I understand that the 20RMB left is a deposit but how can i take it back since i finished and will be traveling back home tomorrow

Oh, don't worry. The staff will give you CNY 20 back only if the card is not damaged. There are several service centers that can provide this service. For example, one is located at No.37, East Donghua Road, Yuexiu District. Another one is located at No.466, North Renmin Road. You can provide your living place. Then I can find the nearest service center for you.

the card can be returned for a refund of the deposit at only one location: Gongyuanqian (Exit J) and Tiyu Xi Exit G, and East Railway Station. (Exit HJ).
