About:China Visa on Arrival

Hi, I'm a Swiss citizen

I came 4 times last 2 years in Shenzhen with a Luohu Visa for 5 days without problem.This time, I want to make same but need to go in Xiamen for one day (in those 5 days) to visit a factory (go and back with Xiamen Air Flight in the same day)
Can I make this visit with the 5 days Shenzhen VOA or need another entry permit for Xiamen ?

Charles, you can either apply for a VOA at Shenzhen or Xiamen, but if you get the Shenzhen VOA, you can only stay in Shenzhen. If you get the VOA at Xiamen, you can only stay in Xiamen. If you want to visit the two places, you need to apply for a normal entry permit before you depart.

Actually you can get away with it but you can only enter/exit from Shenzhen. So if you get vOA at shenzhen border then fly to Xiamen you must fly back to Shenzhen to exit the country. If you try to exit customs at Xiamen you will be stopped.

I really wouldn't do a day trip outside Shenzhen without a proper entry permit. You might get away with it, but if you got stopped for any reason, you would be illegally in that part of PRC. Just get a proper entry permit in advance and be sure.
