Visa Application for Japanese nationality work in Malaysia

Good afternoon, please check with you if we have Japanese expatriate with Malaysia work permit and he will be going to China for machine installation about 2 weeks to 1 month. Is he need to apply any entry permit for working or normal entry permit is ok?
