is it allowed to be shipped into china?

My son is living in China for 1 year. He has requested protein powder & hydrocortisone cream for personal use, as well as specific type of sun screen. Where do I go for information on what is allowed to be sent to him. I don't think protein powder is allowed based on above but wanted to check.

Protein powder, sun screen and other health/cosmetics are ok. You can post them to your son. However, I am not sure whether hydrocortisone cream is allowed because it's a kind of prescription drug.
