Is it allowed to be shipped into China?

My son is living in China for 1 year. He has requested protein powder & hydrocortisone cream for personal use, as well as specific type of sun screen. Where do I go for information on what is allowed to be sent to him. I don't think protein powder is allowed based on above but wanted to check.
