I am a Filipino and worked in Thailand for many years and held a work permit which is now expired due to company closure last year.I am now on a visitor's status,holding a tourist visa that was granted upon arrival.A company in Maldives is inviting me for a job assessment in Shanghai (1 day).Can I get a Chinese tourist type here in Thailand? Will my valid airline crew type for China on my passport help in my case?

Samuel, how long your current Thai resident permit will be valid? If it is valid at least six months, I think you have great chance to get the tourist type one in Thailand. If not, you can still try to apply. But I am not sure whether you will get it or not.
