Well, it depends. It usually snows in the late Dec. and early Jan. in the city. If it doesn’t snow when you are in the downtown, I suggest you go to the suburb Mentougou District, where you can enjoy the stunning snow view. Anyway, pay close attention to the weather forecast before you leave.
