About:China Tourist Visa

I will be travelling to China in December and will be leaving from Nepal (I'm an Australian citizen)

I am unsure what I will do in PRC and have no firm hotels booked yet as I will decide this in Nepal when I arrive one month before. Do I have to have an address where I will be staying in PRC?

Thanks Jude

Judith, do you have a friend in mainlnd China? If you have one, you can get an invitation letter from your friend and state that you will stay in your friend's apartment. If you don't know anyone, you have to provide the copies of hotel bookings.

Thanks Anita. I don't know anyone. Does your hotel bookings have to agree with your entry permit?

You don't have to book the hotels covering the whole trip. Just book some hotels for 2/3 of the stay. If you want your trip more flexible, you can choose some refundable hotels and cancel your bookings after the L type entry permit is issued.
