About:Hong Kong Bus

Doubt regarding fare while using public transportation in Hong Kong.

I am travelling on NOV 2015 and i have doubts regarding with the following:
1. While travelling by Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited and MTR Corporation Limited, do we need to pay the exact fare or over payment will be refunded?
2. If we need to pay the exact amount, kindly clear my doubt on:
For eg: if the fare is $6.8 per person and since 3 of us will be travelling, so is it fine to pay ($6.8*3) $20.4 altogether or i need to pay separately for each individual? and also suggest where will i get change for lower denomination in Kowloon?

1. You need to pay the exact fare because the over payment won't be refunded.
2. If you pay the ticket by cash, you can buy the money altogether. But if you use the Octopus Card, you can just pay your ticket. One octopus card just can be used by one person.
3. You can exchange the lower denomination in Kowloon Metro Station. The service counter provides such service. You can go and see.
