About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

luggage collection for international flight connection at Guangzhou Airport

Hi,
I will fly form Christchurch (NZ) to Busan (South Korea) via CAN. Both flights are operated by China Southern airline.
Should I expect to go through custom check, collect my luggages and recheck-in my bags or the bags will be transferd from one flight to the other and I can remain in the international area?

You need to go through the following procedures: Arrival---> Health & Quarantine Inspection --->Proceed with the Transfer Procedure at International-International Transfer Counter at 2nd floor(unnecessary for passengers with an onward boarding pass)--->Transit Inspection--->Go up to the 3rd floor via an escalator--->Security Check--->International Departure Boarding Gate--->Waiting & Boarding

You do not need to go through the customs check or collect your luggage and recheck-in them. Your luggage will be transferred to another flight by the airport working staff.
