Multiple entry for X2 visa

Hi,
We are some students that are going to study in Beijing until December. We have the X2 type with just one entry and we would like to get some more.

We are having several problems to register in our police station as our landlord lives abroad and we are missing the original certificate of ownership... Could we go to an hotel for some nights so as to get the slip to be able to get more entries?
