About:Nanjing Lukou International Airport

If my layover is from 6 pm to 8am the next day, is it worth it to try to go to Nanjing downtown?

Or should I stay at the airport and use their many services?

My itinerary will be LAX to NKG (14 hour layover) to ICN. Will I need some sort of visa to go out to the city?
