Dear sir,Can anybody guide me for my issue, I am from india and currently working in PRC, i already have Z-type upto 1st December-2015. So need to prolong my Z-type for one year more, so when i need to start the prolong procedure??My another query is if suppose i am going to apply for Z type valid for one year means 1st-December-2015 to 1st-December-2016. But my passport will be expired on 27th-November-2016 (just 3 days less than one year).So is it possible to prolong my Z type upto my passport expiry date (27th-Nov-2016, just 3 days less in year)??And when i need to renew my passport??Is it possible to renew my passport in PRC??If so, then where and what is the procedure for passport renewal and how about the charge or fees?Thanking you,with warm regards,Dr. Rohit

Rohit, as you need to get a new work permit first and then take a physical examination to get the residence permit. Each process takes about five working days, so I suggest you set about doing the renewal one month before your Z type expires.It's possible to proling your Z type upto the expiry date of your passport. The officer usually determine the validity of your Z type and residence permit based on the length of your work contract.You can renew your passport two months before it expires in the Indian embassy or consulate. If you want to get a 36-page one, the price is CNY 496. The price for a 60-page passport is CNY 655.You just submit the required documents and apply for the reissue of a new passport. Documents needed: 1. application form No. EAP-I; 2. original passport and additional booklets, if any; 3. four recent coloured (with white back ground) passport size photographs; 4. photocopies of the first page, last page and the valid  Resident Permit.
