Z Visa and Exit Permit Requirements

I recently arrived in China on a Z type sponsored by a Chinese Company, since arriving we have decided not to continue with this employment, do I require an Exit Permit to leave PRC and how do I obtain one?

Rod, you don't need the exit permit. The Z type can allow you to stay in PRC for 30 days even though you don't apply for the residence permit. If you want to stay longer as a tourist, you should change the Z type to a L type at the exit and entry administration under the PSB organ.
