About:Apply for China Visa in a Third Country

An American passport holder is visiting Hong Kong, then Seoul and wants to visit Shanghai for one

day before ending his trip in Tokyo. What kind of visa does he need for a 24 hour visit to Shanghai?

Maria, if you go from Hong Kong to Shanghai and then to Seoul, you don't need the entry permit for Shanghai. If the route is taken by air, you can stay for as long as 72 hours without the entry permit.
