Bulgarian Citizen living in Switzerland : "Do I need entry permit just for one day in Beijing "

Hi, I'm a Bulgarian citizen and I live in Switzerland, I have a transit plane from Beijing and it is 32 hours stop at the Airport. However I just want to know can I go out and stay in a Hotel, do I need visa for that? Thanks.
