I want to fly from Singapore to Beijing (48 hours visit) to USA. Is this possible?
Also how long will it take to get a visa for entry?

Yes, it's possible to use the 72-hour free transit. It only takes a few minutes to get the free entry if there is no long queue.

Thanks for the quick response. Does it matter that I am an US national going home from Singapore with this route?
