booked a tour with Nexus tours for april 15,2016 for china. fully escorted tour, there are four of us Canadians and am wondering if we can put all four applications with our Canadian passports in individual packages to be mailed in one parcel with return postage on each. out to the Toronto PRC embassy with return postage. how soon can we apply?

Carol, you can include all the four applications in one parcel with return postage on each. The earliest time you can apply is January 15th, but I advise you to apply in March. The process only takes ten working days if you apply by post, so you don't need to apply that early.
