About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

In China. Need to get a 0 entry visa on my own. Please help!

I have a Z type and residence permit in Jiangsu Province, and I will leave my current job for another job in Shenzhen. My current employer will cancel both documents within the next 20 days or so. I have a new employer in a different city who will grant me a new Z type, but they need at least a month to process the paperwork. My old employer is refusing to grant me an extension of residency to cover my time until I get a new Z type. I was informed that I can apply for a zero entry L type from here in PRC on my own when they cancel my current Z type. What do I need to accomplish this?

Yes, you can apply for a 0 entry L type on your own. After your work permit is cancelled, you can go to the exit and entry adminsitration to cancel your residence permit. Meanwhile, apply for an L type. It may allow you to stay for 30 days.

Thanks so much for your help! I got a temporary visa, but I will need to extend it for more time to file the paperwork for my work permit and expert certificate. Do you have any knowledge on this issue?

You can go to the office again to try to extend the temporary visa.
