About:China Work Visa

Switching the employer

Hi,

I got new offer from another company and I am willing to change the job (knowing that I work legally in China and I have the RP and the Working permit) I'm wondering what are the best practices to switch the employer and move to the new company (because I don't want to leave PRC and do the job from the scratch again).

Best ragards.

toufi, you should first cancel your work permit at the labour bureau. Then get a new work permit from your new employer and a release letter from you previous boss. Then, go to the exit and entry administration to renew your residence permit.
