International Flight transfer

Hi guys,
I fly into Beijing from Mongolia on air China then fly out on Singapore Airlines to Singapore, will I need to pass through customs to get my checked in bag? I've got 2 1/2 hours. I don't have a visa for China.

No, you don’t need to collect your luggage, and you also don’t need a visa. The transfer procedures are like this: Flight Arrival - Transfer Procedures-Border Inspection - Security Check- Custom Inspection - Waiting & Boarding.

Thanks Joe. My concern is that my luggage isn't booked through as they are separate airlines and separate tickets.

In such situation, you need to collect your luggage and go through the customs inspection, and then check in again.
