Can hong kong taxi take 3 adults and two children in one car?

Hi,
We arrive on chinese new year eve.
We have 3 adults and 2 children aged 3years old and 1yr old, will we be allowed to use the 1 cab for all of us?

What is our best option getting around as I'm worried it will be too crowded for the children on the MTR or buses during the new year.
