About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Seoul(ICN)-Shanghai-LAX

Hello,
I'm from the Philippines currently working in Seoul. I have a 17hrs lay-over at Shanghai Pu-dong. Am i qualified for the 72hour free transit even though i have a Philippines Passport?

Hi Marv, it's pitiful that you do not qualify for the 72-hour free transit, but you still don't need the transit permi. The 24-hour free transit service is available for you.

Hi Sally,

Thank you very much for your response. I'm assuming it's the same process as the 72 hr free transit ? If not, would you happen to know the process? Thanks

Yes, the process is quite similar to the process for 72-hour free entry. The difference is that you don't need to tell the airline in advance and you can handle it when passing by the immigration counter.
