About:Dujiangyan Panda Base

Panda Volunteer Program- OPEN or CLOSED?

Is the volunteer Program at Dujiangyan Valley or Base still allowed/open? If so, how do we book it? Please do let me know- as I will be coming all the way to Chengdu only if I can actually meet/hold them. Has someone done this recently in August and September? I would really appreciate any responses.Thanks very much.

Yes, the volunteer Program is available both at the valley and base. The holding experience is only allowed in the valley. You can call this number to make a reservation: 028-87296600.

Does the valley have small baby ones also? That we can hold them?

Yes, there are small ones and visitors can hold them to take pictures. But I heard it requires reservation. You can dial 028-87296600 to confirm this.

Hi! yes you can enjoy it in september, as we did last september with my wife. Being a volunteer there is the most marvelous job I have ever had in my seventy years of life! The humbling experience of helping these beautiful animals will allways be in our hearts!
