About:China Visa Exemption

Staying for less than 24 hrs

I am a Luxembourgish citizen residing in Korea and I am flying to Shanghai and have my flight back to Korea the next day (staying less than 24hrs). Since it is not transit, I assume I still need to apply for a visa?
