There is no direct transport mode from Tianjin to Hong Kong except flight. To save money, you can also fly from Tianjin to Shenzhen, then take airport shuttle bus 330 to Luohu, pass the border and take mtr to HK.
You can also take a bullet train to Beijing South. Upon arrival, take the subway line 4 to Ciahsikou Station, where you can transfer to Line 7 to West Railway Station. The travel time is about 40 mins, and the fare is CNY54.5 for the second class seat, CNY65.5 for the first class seat and CNY93.5 for the deluxe class seat.
In the west train station, you can take a train to HK. The travel time is about 22 hours, and the fare is HKD601 for the lower berth, HKD587 for the middle berth and 574HKD for upper berth of the hard sleeper.
