About:Chinese Permanent Residence Permit

Living in Shanghai for 2 years but been married for over 5 years.

Hi,

My Chinese wife and I have been living in Shanghai for 2 years now but we've been married for over 5 years after meeting in the UK many years ago. I have a stable job, my work visa gets renewed yearly and we rent an apartment for us and our son. Do I qualify or must I wait for another 3 years?

Thanks

Adam, your marriage is five years. However, you don't meet the requirement that foreigners should live in PRC for five years in a row, the annual stay in PRC being no shorter than nine months.

By the way, I have to tell you that you won't get the permanent resident permit for sure even you meet all requirements.
