About:Chinese Consulate in Auckland

New Zealand Passport to Chengdu from a different country

I am a New Zealand passport holder but I am currently staying in Peru and Chile for the next 2 months. I am wanting to fly to Chengdu straight from Chile. Is it possible to apply for a single entry visa at a Chinese embassy in Chile/peru or do I need to go to a NZ embassy?
Thanks

Crystal, how long will you plan to stay in PRC? If you stay less than one month, I think you should apply one in NZ before you go. Its validity is usually 3 months. After staying two months in Peru, you still can use it to enter PRC.

Thank you for your response. Im already in Chile at the moment and didnt want to have to stop in NZ just for the purpose. I got in contact with the chinese embassy in Chile and they said they can do my application there even though I have a NZ passport.
