Maestro debit card at ATM in Chengdu

I am Dutch and I will stay in Chengdu for sometime; can I use my Maestro debit card (from my Dutch bank account) at some ATM in Chengdu to withdraw money? Maybe at the ATM machines of big banks like the Bank of China or the International Commercial Bank of China (ICBC)? I would prefer to use debit cards and not use credit cards since the transaction fees are better when it comes to debit cards. Thanks!

Yes, but you should find ATMs with Maestro logo. These ATMs are applicable. BOC and ICBC are two main Chinese national banks. Their ATMs should support Maestro cards. However, you still need to check if there is Maestro logo before you your card.
