About:China Visa Exemption

Indonesia passport going to Japan transit Shanghai 8hrs intend to sightseeing city need China visa?

Hey Dave, it is not needed. You can apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport to go outside.

Thank's for the answer,point#2 in rule said no visa needed for direct transit but in the bottom said conflicting "will stay for less than 24 hours and do not leave the specified transit area" ?
