About:Huangshan Mountain Travel Tips

can you walk on the mountain without climbing peaks?

eg walk from Yungu Cable station to Paiyunlou Hotel;
Is there a website that gives the mountain altitude profile?

Yes, you can make full use of the cable car to climb the mountain.
Actually, Taiping Cable Car Station is the nearest one to the hotel with 5 minutes walking distance.
Sorry but I don't know such a website. But I know the highest peak is about 6,100 feet (Lotus Peak).

Thanks Garnet. I will be in Huangshan in October. Hoping all my walking up hills and staircases will prove to be adequate training for steps!!! I have good maps of the mountain will general info giving peak heights but was interested to have more information about the gradient of staircases between sights. Cheers
