can I apply for a S1 type in Hongkong?

If I have all the necessary paperwork, can I apply for a S1 type in Hongkong? I'm from Canada, my former visa is a work type. My wife is in Shanghai

As you don't have HK residency, I doubt whether you can get the S1 type from there. It's suggested that you consult this with agencies before taking steps.
