from m visa to x type

Question

Hi ! I have done some business in China and I've discovered what a great country it is. So I plan on starting at a bachelor program in Chinese from September 1st. The university says it wont be a problem but still I have my doubts since I have heard some rumors.  I am getting the X1 type. (for more than 180/recidential)Who should I go to and is there anything I can take into consideration?Thanks best.

Well, you should go to the local exit and entry administration bureau to change the M type into an X1 type. It's possible to do this in some cities but not in all. Since the school said there would not be problems, I think the school staff must have a way to do it or they have done this for orthers successfully. It's worth a try.
