do i qualify for 72 hour visa

Question

We are flying from USA to Narita to Bangkok to Ching Rai.on the return, flying from Ching Rai to Bangkok Sept 8.  Bangkok to Hong Kong (8 hour layover) then to Bejing. (Arrive 11:40 PM Sept 9)  Leave Bejing 12:10 PM Sept 12, change planes in Hong Kong, arrive in Bangkok.  Leave Bangkok Sept 13 to Narita to USADo we qualify for the 72 hour free transit?  Can we leave the airport in Hong Kong and then again in Bejing?Thank you

Doyle, as you enter and return all through Hong Kong, I'm afraid this route is not eligible for the free transit policy.

Paul the 3rd country must be different if you wanna use the 72h. Come from and go back to HK doesn't qualify for the 72h.
