About:Muslim Quarter

wide noodles in Xian Moslem Street.

Yesterday I went to a noodle restaurant at the Muslim Quarter, on the busy street. The most expensive item was 38 RMB "high quality mutton noodles". I liked the noodles, but the taste was quite sour and the mutton was cold and fatty. I was not very satisfied. Yet, I saw other customers having wide noodles, they were like pasta sheets, in a red sauce. I tried to ask what it was, but could not get a response in English. Was that the beef noodle?

Oh, I understand. I had been to the Muslim streets for several times. As the wide noodle you mentioned, based on my personal experience, it should be the Zhanshui Noodle or Biangbiang Noodle. There are no accurate equivalence words in Englsih, but the former has sauce of tomatoes, and the latter has sauce with ground meat. Both of them are very tasty. You can go to some noodle restaurants to check it for sure.
