About:Chinese Embassy in Costa Rica

I'm a Guatemalan citizen , and I'm traveling to thailand with a long layover in China

I'm doing a layover in Guangzhou for 14 hours and I would like to visit and go around for that time, I'm a Guatemalan Citizen and I live in panama for studies purposes, do I need to travel to costa rica to apply for the visa or I have to do it in Guatemala or Panama?

Hey Joseus, actually you don't need a transit permit for the layover. You can make use of the 24-hour direct transit policy. If you want to leave the airport during the transit time, you need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the airport.
