Using electricity

I have a slanted adaptor with two prongs for use in China, are you saying I will need a transformer as well in order to use electronic devices? If I just plug the device in via the adaptor is it unsafe to do so?

Wayne, please check whether your appliance supports 220V electricity. If not, you need to buy a transformer. Today most electronic products are designed and made to meet the wide voltages (110V to 240V). You just need to check the plug. If it has "110-240V", then the transformer isn't required.

My iPhone charger says input 100-240V so that's encouraging. It also says 'made in China' lol!
