About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Just wondering if I can apply to stay in China for a period of 6months on a For L Visa.

does each type have a maximum period of stay in which they allow? I'm studying Taoism over there and heard its a bit tricky to get an x2.

Daisy, generally speaking, you can stay in China for three months at most on the F or L type. It's nearly impossible to stay for six months on either type. I advise you to get an X2 even though the process may be harder.
