About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

visa requirements need to book accommodation?

Do you still need to book all your accommodation for the time you are in PRC to go with application?

In 2012 I was told by travel agent I had to show where I'd be staying every night I was in PRC and so had to include confirmed bookings in with my application. What a pain when I usually travel without a planned route . Is this still the case?

Marianne, if it happens that you know somebody in China, you don't even need to show hotel reservations. An invitation letter from the person will take place of round-trip tickets and hotel bookings needed for the application. If unfortunately you don't know anyone in China, then you have to submit the hotel booking records, but not for every night. The hotel bookings should cover at least 2/3 of your stay in China.
