About:China Travel Tips

If I am leaving china and have 10 000 USD in cash, if I declare it will i be penalised?

Andre, it depends on the customs. If they just think you break the rule, then you will be fined 5 to 20 percent of your total cash. If they think you smuggle money, then your cash will be confiscated. If you declare at the customs, I think you might be fined.
